Pattie Nepi
Pattie Nepi
Pattie
loved to spend time at the beach and travel with friends and family.
She treasured all the small moments and always had some memory to talk
about or story to share. Laughter was never in short supply in the Nepi
household. Pattie and Danny loved to entertain and welcomed anyone at
anytime with open arms. Together they made everyone feel like family,
and together, they were soul mates.
Her
passion and flair for all aspects of interior design could be seen in
every detail of her home and everything she touched, especially during
the holidays. Anyone that has ever stepped foot into her home has
experienced the feeling of instant welcome and comfort through her
ability to warm up a space with her vision, passion, and exquisite
taste. She was a homemaker, but in the literal meaning in that she
could make any house feel like home.
Throughout
her life Pattie has touched so many people and always had plenty of
love to share. She devoted herself to caring for her beloved family.
Pattie always knew that no matter what the situation, you had to stay
strong and get through it. Her philosophy has always been one could
make it through anything as long as you never give up; with family and
friends by your side, things would always be ok. We are so grateful for
whom she was and is to all of us, and for the love she gave us in our
lives. She will continue to be our source of inspiration and strength.
The
family would like to thank Dr. Eric Martin and his staff, the nursing
staff of 6B and the ICU unit of the Christiana Hospital for all their
dedication and personal care over this last year helping Pattie fight a
courageous battle with grace and dignity through her Leukemia. They
were our source of knowledge and courage to help get through this
difficult time.
She
will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Daniel A. Nepi, Jr. and
their dog Dino; her daughters Teren Neal of Wilmington and Marsha
Minutella and her husband, David, and her eagerly expected
granddaughter, Chloe of Hockessin; her son, Nicholas A. Yarrusso and
his companion, Jamie Rouco of Wilmington; and her mother, Dorothy P.
Martin of Wilmington. Also surviving are her maternal grandmother,
Naomi Corbin of Wilmington; her brothers, John of Wilmington, Fred and
his wife, Sharon, of Wilmington, Robert and his wife, Roberta, of
Lawrenceberg, TN, and Rick of Wilmington.
In
lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to be made to Cancer
Research, Helen Gram Cancer Center, 4701 Ogletown Stanton Road, Newark,
DE 19713.
If
you have any fond memories, stories, or pictures to share about Pattie,
please write them down and send a copy to Marsha Minutella, PO Box 1560
Hockessin, DE 19707 or send her an email at Marsha@MarshaNealStudio.com. She will be putting together a collection of memories of her mother to be able to share with everyone.
